T he Perera–Picco Fund was created to advance the study of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art history through dynamic and comprehensive scholarship.

The Fund supports opportunities for writers, researchers and scholars to collaborate directly with artists in documenting Aboriginal art history both past and present. The results will be published in books and articles and will guide the organisation of future exhibitions.

By expanding the critical framework of Aboriginal art, we aim to increase the stature of the movement in the eyes of an international audience as well as make progress nationally towards a more sensitive level of cross-cultural communication.
